Sunlight provides an enormous amount of energy to the Earth every day; even a small amount of it could solve many of the world’s energy problems without polluting the environment. Scientists can now design from scratch more efficient materials that take advantage of the ultraviolet radiation (UV) coming from the Sun and can be used in solar fuel production.
